Share the Blessing

Dear Sisters and Brothers of Emanuel,

The disciples of Jesus always seek to grow in faith.  Growing in faith always includes growing as stewards of God’s gifts.  As we deepen our understanding of our vocation as managers and caretakers of all God’s blessings, we become more joyful and eager in our serving and our sharing.

We will have a series of worship services beginning on September 20th and culminating on October 18th that will
focus on our growth as generous stewards, and as faithful disciples of Jesus.   Each week, the liturgical act of Offering will be highlighted in a specific way that relates to our call as God’s people.  We will have an opportunity to fill out a Blessing Card, and place it in the offering plate.  At the end of the program, a festive coffee hour will be hosted by the Stewardship Team and the results of the blessings shared. 

Here is my invitation to you:  please attend as many of these weeks as you can so that the entire Emanuel community can consider together its call into the future.  It is in the spirit of common worship that our identity as disciples and stewards will be formed for our most effective work on behalf of our neighbors.
