Lynne Gustafson
Prior to her retirement, Lynne Gustafson RN had been Coordinator of School Health Services for the Manchester School System for 31 years. During those years she held several leadership positions; first as President of the Association of School Nurses of Connecticut and then as President of the National Association of School Nurses (NASN). In 1999 she was elected a Fellow in NASN.  Through these positions she realized that she enjoyed creating new programs. When Emanuel decided to start a Parish Nurse program she decided that this was an excellent challenge and opportunity for her to blend her nursing skills with her spirituality.  In 2004 she completed the Parish Nurse program developed by St Francis Hospital and Medical Center. Through the Parish Nurse program, Emanuel offers parishioners a wide range of health and advocacy programs.

Kristin Uznanski : Council Executive Committee
Kristin and her husband Kevin became members of the Emanuel family in 2003, and welcomed their son Theo in 2004.  They love to travel and especially enjoy hiking and camping.  A native of Santa Monica, California and a lifelong Lutheran, Kristen met Kevin in the Lutheran holy land of Minnesota.  Her recent passions have included a real interest in environmentalism and she has started an organic vegetable garden.

Paul Berg : Council Member
Born in Barron, Wisconsin (pop. 3400).  Moved to Connecticut after school in Boston area to work at United Technologies as an engineer and eventualy settled in Manchester where I was introduced to Emanuel.  Besides selected activities related to Emanuel, I also enjoy aviation, gardening and travel.

David Bukowy : Council Member
DJ has been a member at Emanuel for the past 4 years.  He loves to sing and is actively involved in the music program.  Currently at Calumet, DJ is considering a career in the ministry.

Eric Heinrich : Council Member
Eric enjoys spending time in the outdoors.  He enjoys camping with his family especially at Camp Calumet.  Eric leads the Environmental Task Force at Emanuel out of a belief that it is important to be a steward of the environment and the community. He likes to be active spending his free time running.

Joe Jauss : Council Member
Joe has served on church councils and as a past council president both in Connecticut and Pennsylvania.  He and his wife, Jane, reside in Windsor with their two daughters, Lindsay and Hannah.  Joe is active in worship, serving as assisting minister and communion assistant, is a member of the Emanuel Lay Preachers group and works with the Emanuel CSA, Garden of Eat’n.  He is Director of Employee Education and Industrial Sales for a wholesale supply company in Connecticut.

Gail Porter : Council Member
Gail is a life long member of Emanuel who cherishes her memories of the past.  She is in awe of God’s grace and the consistent excellent leadership at Emanuel.  She is ever confident that God is leading us to an exciting future!
