Fellowship

The goal of the Fellowship Commission is provide a wide variety of fellowship opportunities throughout the year in conjunction with many of the Mission Teams of Emanuel Lutheran Church.

Ruth Circle
Ruth Circle meets the first Tuesday of the month in Luther hall from September through May for spiritual enrichment, fellowship and service to the community. Several programs each year are open to the large community and usually relate to social outreach and ministry.  Click HERE for the 2008-2009 schedule.

Book Club
The Book Club meets once per month, September through June.  The meetings are usually on the first Sunday of the month from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the library.  Members choose upcoming selections which are listed in the VISITOR and posted outside the church main office.  New bibliophiles are always welcome to our lively discussions!

Parish Party Planners
The P.P.P`s assist other mission teams in planning church fellowship events including clebrations of staff arrivals and departures, the annual Sunday School Ice Cream Social, and the Vacation Bible School Pizza Party.  In addition, we sponsor several multi-generations fellowship events thought the year including

Annual Church Picnic : September 14, 2008

The Visitor Volunteers
This group started with a monthly mundane office task and became a major social venue!  Once per month, a dedicated group of retired members gather th to assemble, fold, label, and stamp our newsletter, the VISITOR.  These folks enjoy each other’s company, have coffee/tea and a baked treat and share devotions once the work isfinished.

Church-wide Fellowship Events
Each year, various members of Emanuel plan social occasions that raise upwards of $10,000 for internal and external programs.  These events have GREAT food and fellowship and are often accompanied by professional entertainment.
