BibleSong for Kids and Families
The goal of the education team is to share, read, talk, pray, bless, and to encourage families to do so, every night in every home. BibleSong is designed to reinforce that message by providing families with the resources they need to make it a habit and by providing kids with an hour to praise God with arts and hands and voices.

Youth and Families
The Confirmation Program of Emanuel Lutheran Church is offered to 6th , 7th and 8th grade students using the Faith Inkubators curriculum.

Faith Stepping Stones
The mission of Faith Stepping Stones is to bless the child, gift the family, and call the parents to the promise every night in every home. Emanuel Lutheran Church hosts several of the Faith Stepping Stones including Baptism, Entry into Sunday Church School, My Bible, Communion for all God’s People, Head to Heart Confirmation and High School Graduation.

Adult Forums
A disciple is basically a student. As members of Emanuel seek to deepen their discipleship to Jesus, a variety of educational programs are offered.

Other Education
Emanuel is invested in serious study of the Bible, Christian tradition and issues affecting daily life. We encourage everyone to participate at some level in the life-long growth in knowledge and understanding that marks the life of Christian discipleship.

Caring
Emanuel members create Prayer Shawls stitched with the prayers of the knitter and provided free to church members, friends, families, and community members who are ill or grieving. They're here to help during difficult times. Eucharistic Ministers provide communion members who are unable to attend church and wish to have visits and communion at their home. And, Parish Nursing is a holistic case management practice within the congregation that focuses on health promotion and disease prevention.

Fellowship
The goal of the Fellowship Commission is provide a wide variety of fellowship opportunities throughout the year in conjunction with many of the Mission Teams of Emanuel Lutheran Church.

Social Justice
Social ministry has been a strong foundation of Emanuel. Emanuel was a charter member of the Manchester Area Conference of Churches (MACC) which provides a wide variety of social services throughout Manchester. In 1971, the Emanuel Housing Board was created in order to provide low cost housing to the elderly and disabled. At the end of the Vietnam conflict several Emanuel members assisted Vietnamese families relocate. During the mid 1970’s a prison ministry was started. In the late 80’s, Emanuel responded to the AIDS epidemic by providing space for those who were infected with or affected by HIV. Emanuel was also a charter member of the Manchester Area Network on AIDS (MANA) and continues to provide them with free office space.

Hospitality is a core Christian commitment. Inviting people into the community of faith and helping them feel a sense of belonging to a congregation is essential for a vital Christian ministry.

Worship and Music
Emanuel has historically been known as the ‘Singing Church’. Today, music is a pillar of the worship and community life of Emanuel. There are anthem choirs, contemporary choirs, bell choirs, brass groups, flute choirs, cantatas, instrumentalists, bands, and musical cowboy shows!
