In southeast Alaska, our coast guard patrol boat was sent out to verify a report that a navigation buoy got loose from its anchoring. We verified that, "Yup, there's no buoy in the designated location..."
We searched for some hours alas to no avail…

Great movie ! What hit home for me was Luther's struggle with God's journey for him, especially his westling in the night. Powerful ! It helped me understand my own struggle with God's Call. Peace, Jody
You let me borrow 2 movies on VHS. They were each simply movies. The black&white movie was titled "Martin Luther" and the color one was titled "Luther." I haven't seen any others.
When you returned that movie, did I lend you another DVD with segments about Luther, his wife, his times etc? I can't locate it and wonder if I loaned it to you. SC

I just viewed the movie titled LUTHER. It is a movie produced in 2003 starring the actor Joseph Fiennes as Martin Luther. I found it to be a powerful film. You all have probably seen it already but to me it was new, enlightening, and

My Easter
On Easter morning, I was so happy to arrive "promptly" at church at 8:45am. I enter church to see that the offering plates are being passed already...uh-oh.
I greeted Philip and was enlightened that the service started 30 minutes ago. I hung around to attend a full service --- the 9:45am one. I had some coffee in between the 2 services...feeling like a knucklehead for not checking the day's schedule closely. (The coffee was delicious though. Thanks Philip.)

SCREAM AND SHOUT !!!
Oh brother!! When I attended the evening service tonight --- Saturday 11April --- the music and singing was awesome! One part in particular was so...so ....AAAAAAAAAHHHHHH.....AWESOME!!!!!!!....Jonathan's singing of "Jonah In The Belly Of The Whale". The energy I felt was like the energy exhibited by folks dancing to SWING music. I wanted to jump out of my seat and SCREAM AND SHOUT to the ceiling in praise of Jonathan's performance! Even give him a few "WOO...WOO...WOO!!!"'s.

Good To The Last Drop
At my first service at this church, I thought, "How bright and nonstuffy this place feels! The folks here seem happy."
Someone told me that after the service, there would be a coffee hour. I found almost no one downstairs. I think that I had been at the second service.(Plus, I think it may have been near a holiday.) I was told that I should try again but be present at the coffee hour after the first service.
